Skull Salt and Pepper Shakers

Skull Salt and Pepper Shakers
Skull Salt and Pepper Shakers
brought to my attention by Mark Cline
February 2010

Mark Cline emailed me in February 2010, saying, "I bought something I think is pretty damn tacky but I need your profesional opinion and review on it." Attached was a photograph of the most ghoulish set of salt and pepper shakers I have ever seen.

It's a little under the average size for a skull. On the other hand, the salt and pepper shakers themselves are large, and on that count, they'd be useful for a large event. But your guests probably wouldn't notice that as they recoil in horror at the way they are being displayed.

Of course this is a tacky treasure, and I'm filing this under "Salt and Pepper Shakers I'll Never Use." To be honest, though, I would probably use them at a Halloween party. I'm going to have to file these under "Seasonal Tacky" as well.
