![]() Hannibal Crossing the Blue Ridge MountainsHannibal Crossing the Blue Ridge MountainsMark Cline's annual April Fool's joke was on the city of Waynesboro, Virginia. High above the town, he placed five life-sized elephants and a figure of Hannibal, the legendary general from ancient Carthage. He calls this installation "Hannibal Crosses the Blue Ridge Mountains." Bob and I travelled to Waynesboro to witness the arrival of Mark and the elephants on March 31. We were interviewed and photographed by the media along with Mark, and treated to some of Mark's trademark antics. Check out the Flickr link to the right, and you'll see what I mean. News coverage:
